Update re Skernieland proposal

At an meeting in the Fulton Hall held on behalf of the Community Council and the Community Association it was decided to instigate a complaint to East Ayrshire Local Council re their handling  of the planning process followed by a complaint to the Local Government Ombudsman if we are not happy with their response.

It was also agreed that we start a process of taking the Council to a Judicial review.

Also, sadly, at the meeting it was announced that some of the reactions by a minority of the councilors who supported the planning dept has been well over the top, with threats of court action against one complainant and a verbal rebuff to an other member!

Further door to door canvassing plus meetings are to be announced.

It was also intimated that East Renfrewshire have asked Cala House Builders to re submit their planning proposal for the Waterfoot development after a very strong objection from the local community 

  
There has been other planning issues throughout the central belt which the Chairman has asked for more information on.


The Chairman asked for a vote of thanks for all the hard work carried out in the background and the continued support of every one re the next stages in getting a resolution to the situation re Skernieland Road planning proposals. He also intimated that he was glad to say there is a 100% support in the community.
