Fenwick Parish Church Notices - 02/12/11
A warm welcome is extended to everyone to join with us for Morning Worship at 10.30am. This is the second Sunday in Advent and we extend a warm welcome to Gerry McGeever who will lead our Worship
Junior Church and YCam meet on Sunday mornings. Our young people attend the first part of our worship and then leave to go to their own learning zones. Come along and bring your friends. The Creche is also available for our very young people.
Christmas Coffee Evening and Silent Auction will be held on Friday December 2 at 7pm in the Church Hall. Tickets £1. Adults and Children will be made very welcome.
A Choired Taste Christmas Concert - "We need a little Christmas" in aid of the SKY Project, Shortlees; Break the Silence, Kilmarnock; and Combat Stress, Hollybush will be held in The Grand Hall, Kilmarnock on Saturday December 3 at 7.30pm. Tickets £5 are available from Don Gordon (01563 543866) or at the door on the night.
Hallhouse Nursing Home are holding their Christmas Fete on Sunday December 4 at 2pm.
You are warmly invited to our Hearts of Advent Service in Fenwick Parish Church on Sunday December 4 at 6.30pm. This is a Service for all who grieve; a time to remember a family member or friend who was treasured, and a time to give thanks for that precious life. All are welcome, please bring yourself, your family, and friends.
The second of the short services in the Advent Evening Series, will be held on Wednesday, December 7 at 7pm in the Church Hall (either Upper Room or Small Hall), with the theme of Light and Peace
The Kirk Session Executive Committee meets in The Upper Room on Tuesday December 13 at 7.30pm. All Team Leaders should attend.
Messy Church is running in a variety of parishes around Scotland and is proving to be very successful at reaching families. It is based around craft activities, food and lively worship. We would like to think about running a Messy Church in Fenwick and anyone interested in helping should get in touch with Rev Geoff Redmayne.
If you know of anyone who is in Hospital, or someone who would benefit from a home visit from Geoff, or if you know of someone whom you would like the Prayer Chain to include in their prayers, please complete the card at the end of the pew and place it in the box on the Welcome Table on Sunday mornings. Alternatively you can contact Geoff (visits) or Shona (Prayer Chain) directly. All requests will be dealt with appropriately and sensitively.
