Fenwick Church News from Shona Crosbie 23rd August

wick Parish Church Notices - 27/08/10

A warm welcome is extended to everyone to join our Morning Worship at 10.30am.   The Service will be conducted by Rev Geoff Redmayne, and will follow the theme "Neighbours in Need".

Junior Church and YCam begin their new session on Sunday.   Children and young people of all ages are catered for every Sunday morning in their own learning zones or fun club.   Please come along and bring your family and friends.

The very popular Drop-in Cafe is on Thursday afternoon from 2pm in the Church Hall.  Please come along and meet old friends and make new friends over a cup of tea or coffee.   Come when you can - leave when you must.   Everyone is welcome.   There is no charge, but there will be an opportunity to donate to the two chosen charities, which this year are Robin House Childrens' Hospice and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.   There will not be a Drop-in Cafe on September 2 and the Drop-in on September 9 will be the last one for this year, when we look forward to a visit from Frank, Jean and their hearing dog "Bobby".   If you would like more information please contact Frances Gibson on 01563 542636

Team Fenwick have returned from their Sri Lanka Trip and would like to thank John, Simon, Nora and Watson for the lovely Service on Sunday which completed this specific Commission, but also leads us on to what the future holds for Fenwick Parish Church, and their part in World Mission.   Some of the words used to describe the trip have included - fantastic! amazing! wonderful! brilliant! very quickly followed by two very significant words "next time".   Requests are that "next time" it is for longer than two weeks.  The Team completed all of the work they set out to do, and more.   What a Team!!   A Team which Church, family and friends should all be very proud of.   The Team thank everyone who contributed in any way to make their Trip possible, and giving them all such an amazing experience.

If you would like a copy of any of our Worship Services, please speak to Kevin Dempsey.   CD's are available for a minimum donation of 50p on request.

The Covenanter magazine is available online at www.covenanter.co.uk
