The funds continue to grow, and through further donations we now have the amazing sum of £5206, which is in excess of our target. All monies raised over our target will be spent on the various Projects the group will be working on while in Sri Lanka. We thank everyone for their continued enthusiasm, support and prayers.
The next fundraiser for Sri Lanka will be held on Saturday May 8. This will be a Safari Supper - a tasty three course meal in 3 locations with changing company. Tickets priced £10 are available from Sharon Redmayne (01560 600217) and Alan Patrick (01560 600208)
David Finnie will be participating in the BAE Sound of Jura Charity Challenge, which is a 4 day sponsored cycle of around 240 miles, from June 10 - 13 The monies raised from this will be split between BAE nominated charity Combat Stress and the Sri Lanka Fund. If you would like to sponsor David please put your name on the Sponsor Sheet on the welcome table.
Irvine Valley walking festival comes to Fenwick! "Covenanters and Castles" is described as a moderate walk which will take approximately 4 hours and will follow Fenwick's links with the Covenanters, Craufurdland Brig, Dean Castle and Craufurdland Castle. The walk, on Saturday May 8, departs from, and returns to Fenwick Church Hall, with a 10am departure (Registration from 9.30am) The guides for the walk are Geoff Redmayne, Stephanie Young and Alex Craufurd.
Kirk Session meets in the Small Hall on Tuesday May 11 at 7.30pm. Minutes and study material are ready to be uplifted.

Some time ago the ladies of The Guild knitted blankets for children in an Orphanage in Africa. When this project finished some of the ladies kept on knitting and knitting.... As a result knee blankets have been gifted to Torrance Lodge, Hallhouse, Gracelands and Howard House, and several blankets given to individuals. A very big Thank You to all the ladies concerned who are continuing to knit. If you have any double knitting wool to spare, any Guild member will be very pleased to receive it.
The Gardening Club are now taking names for the evening visit to McLaren's Nursery in Uplawmoor on Thursday May 20 at 7pm and also for the day trip to Dawyck Garden and Peebles on Saturday June 19. Please contact Irene Couper (01560 600520) as soon as possible.
